![]() For me (I felt almost like Rincewind in Discworld, ) it was the most horryfying battle ever. As I've probably said before the thing I disliked in BOTM was the last cave, with instantly respawning creatures. I know, I know - I'm a prodigal son, I've wasted my gift,, but I enjoyed playing anyway. you move incredibly fast, take barely any damage, dish out enough to bring rumblers to their knees in one hit, and, well, just generally kick loads of ass. well, I'd say it's definitely the most "godlike" at the end, activating all of your shields, psi overpower skills, skill power ups and the like. it just game me that feeling "oh god, I'm in a giant, omniscient, worm. Originally posted by BloodAngel:ahh, my favorite level, BOTM. What do you think about SS2 Gold, or revisited or sth like that, ?īy the way, do you know the place where I could download SS1? I did it recently, but I cannot unpack it from Zip file properly - flie names are repeating. Maybe, after months of work, guys at LGS & IG were so tired, that they wanted to finish rapidly, ?I'm not a programmer, but I've tried working with DromED - 'be patient, be, patient.' I really don't get it - how could this interesting idea wasn't developed further? It enabled so many oportunities, an interesting plot, etc. I only wish they`d recreated the whole level, with the proper enemies in there.Įxactly, it was too damn short. Originally posted by icemann:Well like I said when this post was in the general section, the final level was my favorite level in the entire game, cause it gave me soooooo many memories of ss1. ![]() I had to wander back to Med-sci deck to slaughter enough hybrids to pay, grrrrrrrrr. The trouble was it cost 100 nanities, and I've spent it all for ammo. The second one had to be destroyed by the small device given after hacking into a replicator, with a little help of Shodan. Oh, but I've just recalled one thing that really made me furious: There was a task to destroy both shuttles to prevent children of the many from being sent to Earth. He's on OPS deck and has about 85 or 95 HP (I don't exactly remember) and it pisses me off a bit. My friend recently started to play SS2 as a marine. īut You know, I made my 'life' in SS2 ridiculously hard, by one stupid thing - I started playing as an OSA soldier and then totally abanodned my psi skills! Which goes without saying: it's quite hard to survive as a psi-oriented character, without developing your skills, just because of physical armors, not good enough to protect you from a serious enemy, when you can have 65 HP at your highest peak (maximum endurance). ![]() Yeah, for sure the last part of BOTM was too nasty, and really annoying. To maintain the order I post here (my) last reply: I've moved this tread from 'general gaming' - here's its proper place.
